Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) have advanced land surveying to a new level. These small, lightweight aircraft are piloted autonomously and capture detailed images and data points. The images and data points are then used to create highly accurate topographic surveys, georeferenced aerial images and 3D point clouds. UAV’s speed, accuracy, and ability to reach difficult locations, have led to more efficient and cost effective surveying solutions, as compared to traditional aerial surveying methods.
