Structural Monitoring Surveys
Structural Monitoring Surveys are a huge asset to the integrity of a building’s construction. We usually perform a Structural Monitoring Survey in the early stages of construction, when the base or piers of a building have been set. Over the course of weeks, months or even years, we measure the elevation of a specific point on a structure in order to determine if the structure has shifted. This kind of survey is especially important if a structure is being built on fill, for example. We’ve also used this type of survey in monitoring the movement of a dam embankment.
